2:00 - 4:00 "Take Down the Door"

Premium-Grade Irish traditional music from the Rocky Mountains.  The Irish once were known to take the doors off the hinges when it was time for a party.  Now inspiring the modern Celtic world to do the same is Take Down the Door, a new trad band from Lyons and Boulder Colorado.  The band's foot-stomping, heart-stopping, wide-open sound reflects both the band's name and its natural habitat.  Fiddler Jessie Burns toured for six years and recorded three number one world albums with Celtic supergroup Gaelic Storm.  The music of Adam Agee and Jon Sousa has been called "sincere and from the heart" by top traditional fiddler Martin Hayes.  Described by Irish Music Magazine as "exceptional", singer Beth Leachman Gadbaw made her mark as singer for acclaimed traditional group Siucra.  Eric Thorin, the folk world's busiest bassist, currently tours with the Matt Flinner Trio, Mollie O'Brien, and with Jeff Austin of Yonder Mountain String Band.  With nothing but stellar musicianship from all five of its members, Take Down the Door takes the state with a variety of dance tunes and songs from Ireland and her diaspora.  With an impressively high-energy traditional sound that is guaranteed to make you want to join in the fun, Take Down the Door is ready to get the party started.

4:30 - 6:30  Angus Mohr Band

Just as watery mist remakes the world and whisky remakes the man, Angus Mohr revitalizes traditional Celtic music's brogue with an American blues accent while rejuvenating rock 'n roll's broad spectrum with bagpipes and pennywhistles.  No one is ever going to mistake Angus Mohr for a cover band.  Sure, they play songs like "Foggy Dew", the 1916 Easter Rising ballad, and "Whiskey in the Jar", a sixteenth century tale of love and betrayal, and their set list is peppered with songs penned by Dylan, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, and the Ramones.  But you've never heard "Ring of Fire" or "I wanna Be Sedated" until you've heard it with the pipes' spiraling keen.
